Paris Hilton's Trip To Rwanda Has Been Postponed

It can get out of prison, but Paris Hilton has a difficult time obtaining in Rwanda.

Paris Hilton's planned trip to the African nation, which is part of its goal of the festival swap of philanthropy, said on Thursday it was postponing the trip.

The Spanish group, Playing for good, said it was canceling the trip because of a "restructuring" within their organization.

"
Paris Hilton was a gracious and faithful supporter of Play for good, but the foundation is unfortunate to postpone the trip," said the group in a statement.

The group hoped to defer "to a later date."

A Hilton spokesman was not immediately available.

Earlier this month, the millionaire hotel heiress turned TV personality said in an interview in Newsweek magazine that it expects to get rid of her party-girl image and leave a mark on the world. The visit to Rwanda was to be a first step on this journey.

Paris Hilton, 26, is a member of the family that founded the Hilton hotel chain. She gained fame as a celebrity debutante its reputation and turned into a career as an actress, singer and pitch person for perfumery footwear.

But this year,
Paris Hilton ran in Los Angeles breaking the law and, in June served three weeks in jail stemming from an incident of drunken driving.

She told Newsweek that "before, my life was all about having fun, go to a party -- it was fantastic."

"But when I had time to reflect, I felt empty inside. I want to leave a mark on the world, "said Hilton.

Playing for good helping companies and celebrities involved in charity work. The Hilton group had hoped to film the trip, in the hope of selling a reality television show called "The Philanthropist" with various celebrities.
